September 30th: It was announced today that Laura will be appearing at the NYCC (New York Comic-Con) Saturday, October 9th, 2010 with two of her fellow cast mates from V (Morena Baccarin and Jane Badler.) The appearance is titled as "Three generations of V queens." We hope to see you there. Description of the event is as follows:
"V series stars Morena Baccarin and Laura Vandervoort, and guest star Jane Badler (Diana on the original V) — discuss their epic power struggle over the future of humanity in the forthcoming season two. All shows will be on-hand for panel sessions, media appearances and autograph signings at the East Coast’s biggest and most exciting popular culture convention from Friday, October 8–Sunday, October 10."

September 27th: Exciting news!!! Laura recently made a trip to LA for some press, including a trip to the MTV studios. Laura will be appearing on MTV's new series "10 on Top."
10 on Top is a half-hour countdown of the Top 10 most texted and talked about young celebs at the moment. Their ranking will be influenced by the audience - based on the chatter they elicit, and the headlines they create each week, as well as the amount of buzz about their upcoming projects and events (appearances, premieres, tours, etc.).

July 15th: It has been announced Laura will be returning to Smallville for its 10th season to reprise her role of Kara Kent. The episode is currently titled 'Supergirl.'
July 13th: Laura has signed on as "Hayley Jones" in Foundation Features’ independent film “Entitled” currently filming in Canada. “Entitled” is written by William Morrissey and will be directed by Aaron Woodley. Below is the plot summary from the film’s official website.
"Paul Dynan is a decent, intelligent 24-year-old man. But he is also one of the new generation of young people who have played by the rules, working hard and graduated college – only to find that the certainties of the past are gone. With out a job or future, he plans the perfect crime to redress the balance. He will extort a fortune from three wealthy men, all great friends, who typify the ruling class that made their millions when the going was good – he will abduct their perfect Ivy League children.

June 27th: Laura attended the Metropolis, IL "Superman Celebration" with Smallville cast member Sam Witwer and had a great time with the fans. Special thanks to Kevin and his Family.
Laura also attended the Tulsa, OK "Trek Expo" with co-star Joel Gretsch. Both cast members signed photos and took to the stage for a Q&A. Special thanks to Lorrie, Joe Bob And Ron.

- Great news! It has been announced that the pilot Laura was involved in has been picked up by a network. "V" will be airing on ABC as a mid-season replacement in 2010. See the following links for more information and the current trailer for the pilot.
- Laura is currently shooting a mini-series called "Riverworld."
A two part series based on Philip Jose Farmer's ''Riverworld'' novels.
APRIL 2009:
- Laura has finished shooting the pilot for "V"
- On April 14th Laura attended her movie premiere for Into the Blue 2 in Los Angeles at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. It was a poolside event outdoors. The red carpet was in fact a 'blue carpet' which led the actress to a real waterfall of which she posed under (with an umbrella). Check out the photos from the event.
- Into the Blue 2: The Reef will be released on DVD on April 21st. Click here to view the movie trailer!
- The independent film Laura shot entitled "The Jazzman" (Directed by Josh Koffman) has been accepted into the Montreal world film fest! It will aslo have a broadcast premier in October 2009 on "Superchannel."

Laura's & Corey's interview for ET Canada (on the set of the independent movie "The Jazzman") will air Thursday July 31st at 7pm on Global.
Laura was interviewed by E! News on two seperate occcassions this week. One segment will air Friday July 18th at 7:30pm eastern standard time. Check it out!
Laura will begin filming an independent titled "The Jazzman," in Toronto. It's a story inspired by the famous Jazz musician Moe Koffman. Fellow Canadians Michael Ironside and Corey Sevier will co-star.
